Ulka Adivrekar - Founder | Art Mentor
For three decades, art has been both Ulka's craft and her calling. With deep expertise in art fundamentals, aesthetics, and technique, she brings genuine passion to every student she mentors, helping young artists uncover the voice that's uniquely theirs.
Her journey through the art world runs deep: lecturing in Fine Arts at the prestigious Sir J. J. School of Art, appointed as a CIE-accredited assessor for Art & Design, and working as an IBDP Visual Arts examiner. Having led arts departments across IBDP schools and taught curricula spanning K-12 through pre-university levels, Ulka specializes in university art portfolio mentoring, carrying a rare, insider's understanding of what admissions panels and examiners are truly looking for.
Ulka sees art as more than technique; it's a powerful medium for personal and social transformation. Her mentoring is built on experimentation: she energizes students to explore unfamiliar mediums, embrace discovery, and take creative risks to develop an authentic artistic voice. The focus is always on grounding their work in cultural context, so that students craft portfolios that showcase both skill and a story worth telling.
Madhavi Gangan - Chief Art Mentor
A certified IB educator and practicing artist with 29 years of educational experience, including 9 years in international and IB frameworks as an MYP Examiner. Madhavi follows a concept-driven, inquiry-based approach that nurtures student agency, creativity, and critical thinking.
She holds a B.F.A. in Illustration from Sir J. J. Institute of Applied Art, Bombay University, and has exhibited solo at galleries including Jehangir Art Gallery and Taj Art Gallery. She has served as a jury member for the Lalit Kala Akademi and as a committee member of the Bombay Art Society. She has received several awards and honours, including a Junior Fellowship from the Cultural Department of India. Her works are held in collections across India and abroad.
